It only took me two years to embrace technology and realize that I could sit around for years waiting for a web designer who could work with me and my vision or I could just do it myself. That's the attitude that everyone should be taking with the interfaced world that we are now living in.<br /><br />I have heard a million times, "Twitter is going to be obsolete within a year.", "All this social networking stuff is a fad.". To these people I say - You're wrong. Dead wrong. Social networking sites, blogging, websites...this is the future. If you don't embrace technology. If you don't get off your but and take the five seconds to sign up and use these sites, you will pay the price.<br /><br />I remember in 1998 when my friend set up my first e-mail in grade 8. I was skeptical of e-mail. I laughed and joked that I had become a real nerd. Who would sit in front of a computer and type to talk to someone, when you could call someone on the phone. For me e-mail was a step backward, a barrier to communication. I was convinced it would never catch on. Well, it did and so did MySpace, Facebook, YouTube and the list goes on.<br /><br />So embrace technology. Look for more sites that can help you and are practical.
